So it’s a full chapter now or whatever. Read up.

The Candle Crown
So there’s this story I’ve been meaning to write for awhile now. And here it is.
This is probably the cutesy-ist thing I’ve written, although maybe not? I had a lot of fun writing this. Which is to say, I just sort of wrote and wrote and didn’t really care about style. Maybe that’s bad? Or maybe I just wrote in my own voice?
This is basically young adult mystery (in terms of genre) for the moment, but there’s going to be more mature stuff down the line. Also, some language in this one, so don’t click if you don’t like the occasional f-bomb or whatever.

“So, just like that, the…”
“What?”
David’s head turned like a dog, pointed itself at an open alley. The alley in question was dark. The pavement at the bottom was appropriately slick with water, although from rain or mist it was unclear. It wasn’t a particularly misty or rainy day. Just one of those mysteries, Neil had long since decided.
So there was David and Neil, out at night in the Downtown. On the street they stood upon were primarily antique shops, but also privately owned restaurants and thrift stores. David and Neil had never been inside any of them.

So I decided I’d try my hand at creating a new symbol for Kirrja, because I guess the Spade symbol, while appropriate, was boring.
I tried to use the original zodiac signs as inspiration.
I figure this is actually the symbol of the Anti-Psychics (or whatever they’re called) that the Conciliator utilizes, but of course,that’s a secret :3I included both, at different line thicknesses, to compare. What do you guys think?
p.s., I figured I’d elaborate and mention that I was trying to combine the number 6 with a kind of plant motif, but that with it flipped, it kind of looks cool too?

I think that The Felt is one of the best albums of the Homestuck group, honestly, or at least it feels underrated somehow? There are a lot of really great songs in there! It was the first album I found myself listening to over and over again, and I think it really captured the RPG music feel that I like the Homestuck albums for.

Tenzin just got that much cooler. He went from my favourite to my freaking favourite.
